Mostly after the EAD and AP approval, the next thing will update is your I-485 AOS application. It is either your case is ready to scheduled for interview or you will receive a letter of Potential Interview Waiver. If your case status says ‘Case Is ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview’ just wait for the notice on your mailbox for your interview date and requirements. But if ever your case doesn’t change after few weeks of your EAD approval, expect a Notice of Potential Interview Waiver in your mailbox.
The Notice of Potential Interview Waiver means that your case you might have no interview but this is not automatically says that you won’t have any interview at all because it is just a ‘potential’ or in other word ‘possibility’. Because there are some applicants who have received an Interview Waiver and after 6 months of waiting they got an interview and others don’t. In my case, I got a letter of Potential Interview Waiver Case after 2 weeks I received my combo card.
