Step 6: AOS Approval: Two(2) year Conditional Permanent Residents Card or Green Card

Yeheay! My I-485 or AOS application has been approved without having interview. My case was approved 5weeks from the date I received a Notice of Potential Interview Waiver. I received my green card with US Immigrant guide pamphlet, 8 days from the day my case was approve. And you will recieve also a letter or approval, the I-797 NOA2 in your mailbox.

Conditional Resident Card (Form I-551) or Conditional Green Card

Conditional Permanent Resident Cards (Form I-551), commonly called green cards, is a documents issued by USCIS to individuals granted authorization to live and work in the United States valid for two(2) years. Inorder to remain a permanent resident, you must file a petition FORM I-751 to remove the condition within 90 days before the card expires. The Conditional green card cannot be renewed that is why you need to apply for removal of conditional status or else you will lose your immigration status.

The green card (green in color) contains the bearer’s name, photo, fingerprint, card number, alien/USCIS number, birth date and card expiration date, along with several security features.
